After making my review of the Never Summer Raptor (Never Summer Raptor Snowboard Review) public, I was contacted by Never Summer Industries. They offered to give me a new board – The Chairman – to test, ride and review.
The Chairman is to replace both Raptor and Premier snowboards. It’s an high performance Freeride/Freecarve board, with fairly stiff flex, a lot of damping and good torsional stiffness. At least that’s what the product catalog says:
So I did take it for the first ride today. The conditions were far from perfect – a bit of loose snow on top, with temperatures above freezing. The snow was fairly wet and very quickly became very bumpy. Not to mention hordes of people.
So this is not a review. This a preview. In order to say something fairly objective about this board I need to ride it more. Join our Newsletter and we will inform you once the full review is published.
So far, I can only say that it’s playful. Have a look:
Carve hard.
